Banks and now retailers!!

After a series of banks going bankrupt, we saw Wal Mart coming up with higher results than expected. That did show that fearing recession people have started changing their shopping habits and looking for cheaper options such as Wal Mart.  But that is not the case with all the retailers. Circuit City the second largest retailer of electronics in US has just filed for bankruptcy today. A month ago they sai dthat they would be closing down somewhere around 150 stores and now bankruptcy. Hmmm... The main idea that they have filed bankruptcy is to increase vendor confidence and get their shelves filled up for Thanksgiving.. Once the season goes by I think they would be back in profits and back in business !!

Sachha desi student View: 152 stores closing down and 5 of them in Phoenix. Dude ! So many deals are gonna be there on the items in those stores .. Good man .. get some stuff in pocket and this is the perfect time before we go back to India after one and a half years. Have to take some stuff for long list of relatives.. Sigh !! Who will pay my credit card bill. Wish I could also buy all these stuff and file for bankruptcy to protect myself from debt. ;)  Wishful Thinking !!
